Position Summary:
The Proposal Engineer will be in charge of the sizing of the products, the alignment of the proposal onto the specification and the cost estimate together with the Sales Manager.
In order to be successful in the job, the candidate needs to honor the Ethical Code of Conduct of the Hamon Group.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Sizing of "dry cooling units” (namely air cooled condensers)
based on design data as provided by the customer and including all aspects such as available plot area, noise, wind and all operating conditions.
- Prepare the “comments and deviations list”
and various key documents as usually requested based on the technical specification of the customer. Wide range of technical aspects are covered, such as electro-mechanical (motors, gear boxes, pumps, etc.) and steel works items such as steel supporting structure, steam ducts and pipes.
- Prepare the offer document
including the master proposal document incorporating data sheet, scope of supply and the outcome of the work perform under 1 and 2 above. This task is coordinated, supported to some extent and validated by the Sales Manager.
- Full responsibility for the cost estimation program:
development, improvement and maintenance together with technical and procurement departments. Listing and evaluating the risks from design and technical uncertainties.
- Sourcing:
continuous monitoring of potential new suppliers and technical/price inquiry among already known and qualified suppliers together with the technical and procurement department.
Minimum Requirements:
- Civil or Industrial Engineer
- Specialty: Elecromechanics or Electrical are preferred but others are welcome
- Experience: none (any profile, fresh from graduation) or some (business experience: preferably in the engineering or process or electro mechanical product for the industry in general)
- Fluent in English
- Dutch and/or German are an asset

Steel Structure Designer [ref.HTE 45]

POSITION SUMMARY:
In charge of the production and validation of the steel structure 3D model with the software Tekla Structure (Version 18). In charge of all interfaces/communications between the 3D model and other internal and external departments.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Design of main and secondary steel structure
2. Design and validation of interfaces between steel structure and equipments based on input given by other departments
3. Internal communication:
- with the calculation department to get all necessary information and to optimize the steel structure
- with our office in China for the coordination of the 3D modelization : transmission of instruction (scope and schedule), follow-up of 3D modelization and reception/validation of the 3D model
- with Project Management and Purchase department for price inquiry
4. External communication with suppliers:
- validation of technical offers
- technical clarification during manufacturing
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in steel structure (ideally 5 years in workshop)
- Good command of Tekla Structure Version 18
- Knowledge of Autocad 2D and 3D
- Fluent in English and French

POSITION SUMMARY:
• Responsible for the electromechanical equipment and dry cooling process in support of bids and contracts execution.
• Technical coordination of one or several contracts within the technical service.
• In order to be successful in the job, the Equipment & Process Engineer needs to honor the Ethical Code of Conduct of the Hamon Group.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Provide technical expertise: analysis of process diagrams, realization of sizing and calculations notes of equipment and pumps (TMH,…), specifications of the equipment unit (pumps, tanks, filters, instrumentation, etc.)
2. Technical validation of the equipment: consulting suppliers, bids analysis, technical validation of different suppliers’ solutions
3. Technical coordination of the Drawing Office (layout drawings, pipe routing drawings, civil engineering guide drawings, equipment drawings, detail drawings, general arrangement drawings, boiler-making drawings, as built drawings) and interface between: Design Office, Procurement Process, Electrical
4. Occasionally visit suppliers for partial or final inspection of ordered equipment.
5. Take part in business and product (design tools, technical qualification of suppliers, ...) development: point out possible improvements, suggest technical evolution. Technical assistance to the other services of the Business Unit.
6. Site support through assistance from the office to the Site Manager.
7. Occasional missions on site requiring expertise on equipments.
