Philosophy
Since 1965 the activity of Brown Fintube France SA is solely dedicated to heat exchangers design and manufacturing.
Our specific range of products includes double pipes, multitube hairpin heat exchangers, tank heaters, bayonet heaters, line & suction heaters, vertical vaporizers… Most of them utilize tubes longitudinally finned.
Compared to original designs, our long experience led us to make numerous changes in order to perfectly suit our customers’ needs and requests.
We are qualified to work with most of weldable raw materials, regular and exotic, which are required on petroleum, refining and petrochemical plants.
Both thermal design and mechanical designs are performed by us.
Our thermal design engineers, in addition to our home made thermal rating programs based on our experience with extended tube surface, utilize the well known HTRI® software (Heat Transfer Research Inc.).
SOLIDWORKS® and AUTOCAD® are the main tools of our Mechanical Department. Wind and snow calculations, seismic loads may be included in our scope. Our design is based on the ASME Code section VIII division 1. Therefore, we are able to adapt it to any others design codes such as CODAP, AD Merkblatt, Stoomwezen, PED 97/23/EC, … and particular customer's requirements.
Our Quality Control Department is checking on a daily basis that manufacturing is progressing in accordance with codes and customer requirements.
Brown Fintube France Factory
Our workshop - 6000 m˛ - allows manufacturing of the largest heat exchanger components.
Except for two welding machines that continuously weld by resistance the longitudinal fins on the tubes, one forming machine to make the "U" profiles of fins from metallic strip and one turbulators forming machine, all the others manufacturing tools are those used by a conventional steelwork.
Our welding qualifications procedures comply with ASME IX, EN 288-3, STOOMWEZEN, AD-MERKBLATT...
Parts of manufacturing we subcontract may concern machining, painting, stress relieving, chemical cleaning and packing.
