The axial fans within the air cooled condenser receive plenty of support due to their secure location. They are installed on support structures that are located beneath the fin tube bundles. The axial fans are driven by electric motors and these work alongside speed-reducing gearboxes which help to control the system. To locate the axial fans look inside the fan rings. You will find them installed in bell-shaped inlets. The purpose of this assembly is to move all of the cooling air through the fin tube bundles in order for it to be converted into energy and exit the system as warm air or condensate.
