Inside the air cooled condenser system, cooling air absorbs the energy that’s emitted by the condensing steam system. This process takes place inside the fin tube bundles. The energy travels out of the installation in the form of warm air, near the exit that’s just above the fin tube bundles. What remains from this process is collected in the form of condensate in the condensate headers at the bottom of the fin tube bundles. It does not remain in the fin tube bundles for long as the condensate then uses the process of gravity to make its way down to the main condensate tank where it is collected.
