Erection of the 2x6 cell Hamon induced draft cooling tower is progressing at a good pace at MAPA project, Chile.
By providing an FRP IDCT, Hamon will be contributing to the Modernization and Extension of Arauco Mill project. MAPA project, located just off the shores of the Pacific Ocean at the foot of the Andes in Horcones, will increase the annual pulp production at the complex by an estimated 2,100,000 tons and allow Arauco to continue generating environmentally friendly and renewable energy from forest biomass thanks to the construction of a new cogeneration boiler. The energy will be used by the mill and a surplus of 166 MW will be delivered to the National Electrical Grid, through a power line whose construction is part of the project.
