Concrete silos are custom engineered for the flow properties of the stored material. The proposed methods of filling and withdrawing the stored material are considered in the calculation of the silo loads in accordance with design codes and current industry practice.
Construction by either slipforming or jumpforming allows the selection of the optimum erection method considering the site location, project schedule and stored material moisture sensitivity.
Various bin bottom designs are available, again depending on the flow properties of the material and the desired silo withdrawal method. Single or multiple steel hoppers, flat bottoms and custom mass flow designs can be provided.
